Bruce Scott was elected Treasurer at the Founding Meeting of the South African Business Party held at Somerset West on 8 November 2005.

Bruce has for many years run his own accounting practice (B I Scott) as a Commercial and Financial Accountant (CFA).

He obtained his B.Com degree at Rhodes University.

In 1993 he teamed up with Tony Last and has operated ever since as the primary Accounting Officer for thousands of shelf and new CCs registered and sold through Readyco International (eCC).

Bruce is an avid sportsman, playing squash and golf competitively. If you would like to explore, over a friendly game of golf, ways of working with the SABP for the future development of your business and SA society, email Bruce here golftalk@biscott.co.za

He remains at the cutting-edge of his profession, keeping up to date in all important aspects of taxation and accounting practice. Bruce is a concientious, reliable, punctual, loyal, engaging and friendly person.

He is a longtime advocate against high bank charges in South Africa, and holds that, as the banks charge for every little thing they do or don't do for clients, so too should business and private persons, in all fairness, invoice banks when they request documentation from them.

He also views the Revenue Service and the Accounting profession in South Africa as being over-regulated, making it difficult for people and businesses to be tax-compliant and to get things done. Red tape and uncooperative officials also do not help the situation.

Bruce believes that the Policies of the SABP, as they appear on this site, are a superb statement of how government, business and the people can work together to improve the lives of everyone in South Africa.
